When the now disappeared Kasteel Boschdal lost its grandeur, the resistance of Prinsenbeek took up residence there.
During the Second World War, it was the largest resistance prison in the Netherlands.
The beers of Brouwerij Boschdal are therefore an ode to the resistance heroes.
